Stay

Stay here little darling, stay here with me
Kick off your shoes and relax while I heat up some tea
You can leave your sorrow at the door and come on inside
Just come on in next to me like the sea comes in with the tide
You can take off your watch ‘cause there ain’t no need for the time
If I play my cards right by the end of the night you’ll be mine

Did you know, you blew in from the West like a storm and you ripped me apart?
I fought a hard battle, but in the end I surrendered my heart

Now all the bricks that I stacked are all layin’ on the ground
The heart I surrendered is nowhere to be found
There will be a hole in my chest ‘til you come back around

So…
Stay here little darling, stay here with me
Kick off your shoes and relax while I heat up some tea
You can leave your sorrow at the door and come on inside
Just come on in next to me like the sea comes in with the tide
You can take off your watch ‘cause there ain’t no need for the time
If I play my cards right by the end of the night you’ll be mine
